During our daily yoga and mindfulness practice we will focus on how to be fully in the present moment and experience all the subtleties that arise.  

Discover the incredible tools of mindfulness from the highly skilled and experienced facilitator, Han Wee Tan.

The mindfulness course is designed to guide an absolute beginner, step-by-step into the practice. The approach being unique and life-applicable will also help broaden the foundations of the experienced practitioner, systematically unfolding for both the multitude of benefits from Mindfulness practice.

The Ayurveda  professional chef will create culinary magic to sooth your senses. By choosing to nourish body through “the science of life” (Ayurveda in Sanskrit) further harmony and balance will be added to this journey. Your Ayurvedic chef will create dishes that will honour your primary types of energy that exist in your body to ensure your balance and wellbeing are further supported.

During your stay you will have the opportunity to re-engage with the outside world by visiting Crystal Castle where you can experience energetic power of many crystals located on the property. You can also have your aura photo taken using the Kirlian camera.

There will also be a trip to the coast to give you the chance to engage in surfing or ocean kayaking or simply enjoy a quiet walk on the beach, hike to the Lighthouse or stroll along the bustling streets of Byron Bay.

April 17th 2021 

Welcome to our Byron Bay Mindfulness Retreat.

Arrive at Bluegreen Sanctuary in time for 2pm check in. Settle in, get to know your yoga/mindfulness facilitator and other participants, relax in the beautiful garden or have a swim in the pool.

4pm – Start your first yoga and mindfulness practice.

6.30 – Enjoy a welcome dinner and social interaction with the group.

April 18th 2021

7am – Start the day with a one hour practice of gentle yoga to awaken your body, followed by breakfast.

9.30 – Awaken your curiosity with the exploration of mindfulness.

12pm – Lunch

3pm – Continue with the practice of mindfulness

5pm – Free time.

6.30 – Meet for dinner and social time.

April 19th 2021

7am – One hour gentle yoga class followed by breakfast.

9.30 – Depart for Crystal Castle, a 20 minute drive to this high energy place and its beautiful surroundings that can serve as a perfect background to mindful experience.

10am – Arrive at Crystal Castle and explore at your own pace. Don’t forget your aura photo!   

12pm – Lunch 

3pm – Depart to return to your accommodation and free time.

5pm – Mindfulness practice

6.30pm – Dinner

8pm – Gather for a bon fire, mingling and discussion

9.30am – Exploration of Mindfulness

12pm – Lunch

2pm – Cooking class with Ayurvedic chef which will be part of Mindfulness practice

9.30am – Depart for Byron Bay to explore this bustling town with its iconic beaches, laid-back atmosphere, many cafes, restaurants and shops. Byron is also famous for its Lighthouse lookout, being the most easterly point on the Australian coastline

10am – Arrive at local farm for a paddock to plate Food Farm Experience, where you will also enjoy lunch.

1pm – transfer back to town centre for free time. You can simply enjoy the time at your leisure or experience some of the optional local activities available like taking up a surfing lesson, diving or kayaking.  

6pm – Dinner

8pm – Return drive to your accommodation.

Mindfulness & Yoga: Han Wee Tan

Having always had a keen interest in philosophy and the esoteric, Han underwent teacher training with a yoga ashram for 2 years before living in that ashram for another two and a half years, developing himself individually and as a teacher. He delivered numerous courses, workshops and retreats during his time there and, most notably, had been teaching and coordinating the ashram’s teacher training program.
The ashram drew many likeminded people to it, providing Han with the opportunity to meet and learn from many other acclaimed meditation teachers. These interactions would lead to a deepened understanding of the science behind mindfulness along with the various techniques applied. He has since developed and delivered a multitude of Mindfulness workshops and courses in Australia for a wide range of participants along with specialised workshops to allied health and mental health professionals. Mindfulness has become such an important and beneficial way of life for him and is something he continues to share passionately with others for their wellbeing. His approach to the practices are light-hearted and is known for his capacity to deliver complex concepts in an accessible manner. For him, the practices are a way of thinking and living rather than just a band aid for life.
